So fast we are already in year 2011, I hope all of us have a better year.

On the 1st day of the year, I organized a family trip to Cameron Highlands. The group consists of myself, hubby, Dillon, Kaith, my MIL, maid, my sister-in-law & daughter, cousin Ian & his wife Michelle, we went in 2 cars.

We took the Tapah route (old route) and the journey was smooth (although my maid and Michelle did vomit, but everyone else was fine) and easy. By noon we are already at Tanah Rata having our lunch with cool breeze.

I booked our stay at a private holiday home at Desa Anthurium, and I must say that I’ve made a very good choice. The 3-bedroom unit is spacious, clean and comes with full kitchen facilities. There is even Astro LCD TV and mahjong table for our entertainment. See the photos and appreciate it yourself:

We had our steamboat dinner at Brinchang on the 1st night, and thereafter we prepare our meals in the apartment. We went to visit the Bee Farm, Strawberry Farm and also shop for corns and vegetables at Kea Farm.

All of us love eating the corns and also the sweet potato. As for Dillon & Kaith, they simply love the chocolate strawberry, yummy yum yum.

Although it rains occasionally, but the weather is cold and nice. There isn’t much places we visited during our 3 days 2 nights stay in Cameron Highland. Most of the time we spent together in the apartment cooking, eating, chatting and playing mahong, while the kids also playing their own games or watching cartoon on Astro. Overall this is a short but good trip for the family.

My job requires me to travel sometimes, although I can claim my petrol by mileage but I would still rather take a taxi as and when possible, because the claim is only to cover petrol but doesn’t not cover for rv repair and maintenance. Furthermore, taking a taxi is more convenient as I don’t need to waste time and money for parking, and when stuck in the traffic jam I can relax and even take a rest in the taxi. It’s all so much better than I have to drive my own car.

I believe every woman has a dream wedding, be it a grand wedding in the ballroom, or just a simple ceremony by the beach. I remember during my college time, we girls love to talk about our dream wedding, our dream guy, and we all love the scott kay engagement rings. I’m not sure if everyone has their dream come true eventually, but as for myself, I am married to a good husband with 2 lovely kids now, and I couldn’t ask for more, really.

Next weekend, my husband is having a gathering with his friends at Frasers Hill and I’ll tag along because I’ve never been there before. I think I’d like the cold weather there, besides, maybe I can learn to enjoy the fun of bird watching. But then I must first go and borrow the kowa spotting scope and tripod from my friend, and maybe I can ask him to share some great experience of bird watching with me too.

My uncle, who has been working overseas for over 10 years, is finally coming back for good. In conjunction with his birthday which falls on next weekend, we decided to organize a birthday cum welcome party for him. We all knew that he likes to play pool, and he still keeping a pool table in his house. So we are going to buy him some new pool sticks and we could ask him to teach us some skills too.

Starting up a new business is definitely not easy, recently my brother-in-law would like to venture into food and beverage business after he has established his business in the construction field. Therefore I suggested that maybe he can franchises the chain cafe business like the Old Town or Pappa Rich. But of course firstly, we need to find the right location and this would be a great challenge.

My elder brother is very good at art and handcraft since he was young. I still remember that back in those childhood days, my creative brother would use the unwanted woods and make into toy guns. He used abrasives sheet to smoothen the surface before coating it with paint. Nowadays not many kids would know how to do this as their parents basically would buy them any toys they wanted.
