After a week of Chinese New Year break, I’m officially had flew to Bangkok for my new job training on 21st Feb. Yes, after almost 7 years working with the company, I’ve  decided to leave for a better offer and better prospects.

The training was 5 days initially, but then we were requested to stay for another for more practical training, which would be good for us  when we do our job next time, so I’m only flying back on next Friday now. That’s the reason why I have not been able to update this blog for so long…..

Of course it is fun that besides training, I do enjoy shopping, eating and massage in Bangkok, but I really miss Dillon and Kaith a lot, and of course my hubby as well. However for work purpose, I had no choice but to be away from them for 2 weeks, which is by far the longest duration I have to be apart with them, miss them so much…..

We are staying in a 3-storey link house with my parents-in-law since we got married. After we had our 1st baby boy, we have started looking around for good quality safety gates.

We were planning to buy a stairway gate to be installed on the ground floor leading up to the staircase and also another extra wide baby gate for the kitchen entrance because climbing up the staris and going into the kitchen are both dangerous to babies.

After much searching in the market, we finally bought the safety gates from an online store at very good price. The gates are durable and installation was easy too. We are planning to pass them over to my cousin since we no longer need them anymore.

A lot of people likes to shop online nowadays because it is so much more convenient than you have to drive to the mall, beat the crowd and queue at the cashier.  Especially after I had 2 kids, I prefer to buy my kids’ clothing at online stores.

Like in the past Christmas, my family was invited to a party at my friend’s new home and we had gift exchange for the kids. To avoid the crowd at shopping mall, I bought some children story books online at great bargain. I have also bought a train set and puzzles for my kids. 

Some of these online stores do offer complimentary gift wrapping services and that’s what I appreciate the most because I am not very good at wrapping the presents. I’ll just have to browse through the items during my free time, choose and pay for the gifts, then just sit back and wait for them to be delivered to my doorstep.

I am very prone to having cold sores around my mouth and it is very painful. This cold sore is usually caused by something called herpes simplex virus, which is highly contagious. Normally when this happens, I will get the cream from pharmacy and apply it on the cold sores and it will heal quite fast if treated at early stage

My husband and I have been sharing a car for many years and we car pool to work everyday. Recently we have planned to get another car for more convenience. Wehave not decided from which bank we want to get our hire purchase loan yet, and we are also getting different auto insurance quotes from a few agencies and see which is better.

In our company, apart from employee salary, office rental, travel expenses and courier cost, printing cost is one of the major component of our overhead too, especially color printing that cost so much. Therefore, each of us is attached to a pin code so our finance will have a record on printing cost associated with each individual. Whoever has an exceptionally high cost will have to be able to justify or will get a verbal warning.

I was born with tanned skin and very often, people thought I just came back from sun tanning. I inherited my tanned skin from my mother and I’m very thankful that my skin is acnefree like my mother too. I hope I can maintain my good skin type and that my daughter will inherit my good skin type as well.

I have a puppy that has been with me for 10 years already, her name is Kiki. Like all other puppies, one of her most favourite toys is ball, and especially the balls with squeaky sound. Besides buying her the toy balls, I actually gave her the used golf balls and tennis ball to play and my puppy likes playing with those too.

As a woman, we should start taking care of our skin since young age, there are different types of skin care products to be used for different age group., and it also varies depsnding on individual skin type. For me, I have to start looking at anti aging skin products now nand start using them before I have any wrinkles on my face.

Last Sunday morning, Kaith wasn’t feeling well in the morning about 9am after she took her milk, actually she has been coughing since a week ago and she’s still not fully recovered yet.

When I touched her body, she was very hot and was crying badly. I didn’t even remember to check her temperature or give her any fever medicine, I just quickly grab her and wanted to bring her to the clinic. Before I could open my gate, she was suddenly having fits and I went totally panic!! My mother-in-law helped to hold her and then we rush to the nearest Hospital Ampang. Kaith was falling asleep on the way to hospital and I’m totally terrified that she will go coma. I keep calling her name and she opened her eyes a bit, and then closed again…..I almost cried……

When we arrived at the hospital, she was sent to emergency room and doctor said she was having high fever of 40°C, which is why she would have fits. The moment I see they poke her hand with needle to take her blood for blood test and she was crying her lungs out, I can’t hold my tears anymore…. But the good thing was, her temperature came down after we admitted her, and luckily it didn’t rise again the whole night until the next day. So after one night observation, Kaith was discharged in late afternoon on Monday.

All of us were so terrified by this incident but we were glad that Kaith is alright now.

Poor Kaith……she was complaining that her right hand is painful and hence she looked sad…….

Kaith in her pink hospital suit, she was happier when I brought her to the play room….. at least get to watch TV and play some toys.

My cousin used to work in an international bank before doing mortgage sales. It was a really good time when he joined because the bank has come up with many attractive benefits for the customers, thus he made a lot of money that time. But when the economic crisis happened, the bank was badly hit and my cousin lost his job. Luckily he had some savings and he is doing some business on his own now.
