My pupppy – Whisky

I can see you but you can’t see my eyes……
Her name is Whisky. She is a mix-breed puppy given by my hubby to me when first started dating back in 1999. That’s why I have known my hubby for 8 years and so as Whisky, I had her for 8 years already.

She came to my house since she was a 2 weeks old baby. I named her Whisky because my hubby & I first met during clubbing and my favourite drink was Whisky on-the-rock at that time, so it’s sort a remembrance on how we knew each other. :P

Anyway she remains at my mum’s place after I got married because I’m staying with in-laws and it’s not convenient for me to bring Whisky over with me.

She is 8 years old already and I think it’s quite an old age for a dog. She has fell sick quite often nowadays. Although I’m prepared that she will leave us one day but when the time comes, I think I’ll be really sad and will cry too.

Cousin’s Wedding (Dinner)

This is a backdated post.

Hubby’s cousin, Ian had his wedding reception at Sunway Hotel Ballroom on last Saturday night (20th Oct). This is the 1st time we are bringing both Dillon & Kaith to a formal wedding dinner and I dressed them up nicely.

I was also the master of ceremony for the night, along with another cousin Jane. To be honest I was a little nervous but I’m happy when people told me that my performance was good. Here are some pictures to share.

Chock-A-Blog!

I just got the November issue of Mother & Baby today after being informed by Chinnee.

My blog, Mummy Yiau, Dillon & Kaith (http://kazyiau.blogspot.com) was spotted by the editor of Mother & Baby Magazine – Joy Entry back in Sept. She visited my blog & left a comment saying that she would like to interview me via the phone and I agreed to it. That is how we got hooked up and how my blog got “free publicity” in this parenting magazine. :)

I have also referred my friend Judy for the interview, and mentioned that Mummy Lian, Mummy Chinnee & Mummy Jazz are some of the great Mummy’s Blogs I like to visit (there are a lot more in fact!!) Dear Chinnee, Jazz & Lian, sorry that I didn’t get your permission before giving out your blog address, but you won’t mind right? :)

P/S: I’ve scanned and shared the full 3 pages of article in my Multiply Album – Lil’ Angels Gallery, feel free to drop by & read this interesting article.

My breastfeeding journey – Part 3

Ever since the 8th day Kaith was born, I’ve been breastfeeding her exclusively and today is the 112th day in my breastfeeding journey.

It’s been about 1.5 months after I returned to work. Everyday I would carry along my cooler bag with all the accessories to office and I normally need to pump twice a day at work. I consider myself a lonely ranger because no one else is doing or had done so in this office.

I would say with my past experience, it’s so much easier for me to breastfeed this time. Though at times I do feel tired & tied up but I never thought of giving up. I know this is the best I could give to my baby (& the best way for me to lose weight too, hehehe). I’m planning to keep this up until Kaith turns 8 months, or even longer…. – to be continued

P/S: The good thing is, I’ve lost another 1 kg this month :)

Part 1 & Part 2

My Lil’ Pirate

Dillon always like to share things with Kaith, but in a slightly different way. He will take out the pacifier that Kaith is sucking on & put it in his mouth (ya I know this is unhygienic); pull out Kaith’s mittens or hat & ask us to put on him. And everytime he does it, he will be very happy & start laughing away, what a cheeky boy. ;)

Doesn’t he look like a pirate to you? hahaha LOL

Plans for the long weekend

This weekend will be the Hari Raya and we’ll be off 3 days in a row. I’ve been thinking of how to utilize these 3 days and here is what I planned to do:

1) Finish watching the TVB drama series – ???? (Heart of Greed), I still have 20 episodes to go.
2) Bring the kids to visit our cousin in Kota Kemuning.
3) Go back to see my mum & my siblings with the kids.
4) Tidy up my room, pack the clothes that Kaith & Dillon no longer wearing & pass on to my sister-in-law & friends.
5) Last but not least, SLEEP as much as possible….. (well I think this is the hardest to “achieve”) LOL

Well, I’ll tell you if I manage to execute all my plans or not after the long weekend, stay tuned. :)

Time flies….

Time really flies……….

Shopping Tips

Thanks Lovelymummy for this tag. It’ll be useful for all of us to know about the shopping tips & get ready for the sale! :)

~ Start copy ~

It’s very simple. When you receive this tag, copy the whole list and add your own shopping tip to the bottom and pass it on.

1. Wear comfy clothing when you’re shopping. You don’t wanna fuss with too many laces and buttons when you’re trying clothes on. http://rinnah-marketplace.blogspot.com/

2. Choose stores offering some kind of reward program, e.g. purchase points, rebates or store coupons. Knowing how the program works and when to use them will save you a lot of money in the long run. http://kakishopping.giddytigers.com/

3. When buying pants or jeans, try to try them on with a pair of heels so you know its the right length. If you don’t and wear it with heels later, you might find that it hangs at an awkward length. http://www.all-aboutshopping.com/

4. We are always lure to buy the latest lipstick colour in town. Before you respond to magazine’s review and recommendation, make sure you try on the colour and walk around for a while before deciding to purchase it. Lipstick colour looks different when it’s absorbed on the lips and lightings can alter the way you look too. This will avoid buying a lipstick that doesn’t look so great on you afterall http://www.dorisgoshopping.com/

5. Don’t buy bras just before your period! I have big boobs just before period and the boobs deflated after my period, making the bra looks ‘unfull-filled’ Same thing with buying shoes in the evening. Your feet are bigger in the evening. Women Only!

6. If you’re planning to buy heels, avoid wearing sports shoes or covered shoes. You’ll spend more time removing and putting them back on everytime you try on a new pair of heels. Sasha’s TagsnSuch

7. Always request for a new piece on items like cloth, bag or shoe to avoid in getting them in condition like broken, loose, stain or loose parts with many tried from different people. If you like the piece very much happen to be last pair then you got to check really carefully. Lemonjude – Memoirs.:*CRoSs mY hEARt*:.

8. Remember keep the receipts for what you have bought for few days. You can change the size, colours or other stuffs if you feel it’s not suitable for you after back home. Lovelymummy

9. It’s better to wear skin colour underwear when intended to shop for clothing because it show the best result when we try on White colour clothing, coz we’ll be able to judge if the material is too transparent or not. Mummy Yiau

Mummy’s exercise

On last Sunday, after hubby has gone for his badminton session at 6pm, I brought Kaith for a walk nearby our house. Kaith seemed very excited sitting in the stroller.

After we walked for about 20 minutes, I sent her home & asked maid to bath her, then I took Dillon for a walk for another 20 minutes (Since I was not able to bring both of them for a walk together, so they have to take turns loh :p) and after that I was sweating & pretty exhausted already.

Well, I think this is a good way for me to exercise (yes I need to lose some weight) & to have bonding time with the kids at the same time. :D

P/S: I can feel muscle pain on my thigh this morning, ouch!! :P

Kaith is 3 months old already!

Hello everybody, I’m baby Kaith.
Kaith has just turned 3 months old yesterday and we brought her for her routine check up & jab today.

So here is a bit of her latest updates:

1. Has put on another 0.6kg since last month, weighs a healthy 6.1kg now, body length 60cm.
2. Still on breast milk exclusively, taking 4.5oz (no “improvement” on this though) every 3 hours.
3. Has been attempting to roll over but not successful as yet.
4. Hate to be alone. Will cry out loud whenever no one is within her sight. :-(
5. Loves to smile & laughing out loud (just like me!!) LOL

Kaith’s new hair cut :)

Hubby said Kaith look like “uncle” in her current hairstyle because her hair didn’t grow evenly; the hair is more on both side & the back of the head whereas the center of the head has less hair. Haha LOL.

Therefore on last Saturday, we decided to bring her for her very first hair cut (we didn’t shave her on her fullmoon).

Before

After

Hopefully she will have a head full of smooth & silky hair soon :)
