Dillon and Kaith were not even smiling when we took the photos….
Sleep time for the bears…. (children please don’t sleep like this ok?)
I came across this site recently after reading the MomBaby March edition and I must shared with all on this very informative site, especially for the 1st time mums.
It has video clips of interviews with paedtrician & doctors who talk about the common issues and knowledge related to pregnancy and also child care. Basically what you’ll wanted to know is there, and they are adding in new clips constantly. Unfortunately, the clips are all in Mandarin so it’s only useful to those who can read and understand Mandarin.
Visit www.mombaby.com.my and sign up for free, I hope that you find it helpful too.
Then I bought this Sushi starter pack and a pack Japanese Hikari short grain rice and tried to prepare my very 1st sushi roll over the weekend.
Being the 1st time preparing sushi, I was a bit kelam-kabut and I must say that most of it didn’t look as nice as I wanted it to be, but the taste was not bad though.
Here are my masterpiece:
Chuka Kurage (seasoned jelly fish) sushi
I have learned the tips from the below sources:
1. How to make sushi rice
2. How to make sushi rolls
3.
Last Saturday, hubby was attending a Sony DSLR workshop at KLCC and thus I brought Dillon for shopping while waiting for hubby.
When we were shopping in Isetan, Dillon let go my hand and demand that he wants to walk on his own, and then he was walking with both hand in his pocket like this:
He walked like an adult and look so bossy and funny that the promoters and shoppers who saw him would smile or turn back to look at him again, LOL
I noticed that most kids love eating eggs, that includes my nephews and niece and my son Dillon too. But of course I don’t give him egg everyday, the most is 4 eggs in a week.
Apart from the Steamed Egg Rolls, here are a variety of Eggs recipes he loves eating:
Steam Egg
1 – mixed with minced meat and chopped spinach/bo choy.
2 – mixed in sliced fish cake
3 – mixed with dried scallops (soaked well)
Omelette
1 – with finely chopped chives (??)
2 – with minced meat & chopped onions
3 – with french beans or long beans
Scrambled Egg
1 – with chopped tomatoes & cheese
2 – with chopped tomatoes and onions
However, he doesn’t really like hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs & fried eggs though.
As mentioned in my previous post, I have decided to discontinue breastfeeding Kaith and wanted to wean her off the midnight feed, up till today I’m not able to “achieve” it yet. Kaith still wakes up around 3am for milk, even I tried to cradle her back to sleep without giving her milk but I failed, and she doesn’t want pacifier as well.
Last 2 days, I’ve asked my maid to room in with Kaith while Dillon sleeps with me, hoping that maybe Kaith won’t wake up for milk if it wasn’t me sleeping next to her…. too bad it’s the same, worst still my maid needs to wake up & make milk for her while I need to wake up to express milk, which is more hassle and more tiring for both of us.
So now everything is back to usual where Kaith is sleeping with me and I’m still breastfeeding her midnight.
Any tips on how to put a stop to this?
She started crawling since last month but she doesn’t crawl that much, instead she likes to stand. Whenever she gets to hold on to something as support, she’d pull herself up to standing position steadily and she enjoys it so much that she’d start giggling. I remembered that Dillon was the same, he only crawled for a short while and then he learned to stand around 8 months plus and not long after that, he took his 1st step at 10 months and before he turned 1, he was running around already.
Well, I can’t imagine how it would b having two lil’ ones running around in the house…. haha.
