This is a type of dessert which my Myanmar maid has made over last weekend, I don’t know what is the actual name called, but it taste good.
Ingredients:
Sweet Corn, Glutinous Rice
Method:
1. Scrap off the corn from the cob, but remember to keep the corn leaves
2. Steam the corn and blend it.
3. Soak the glutinous rice well, and then add in together with the blended corn
4. Take a scoop of the corn mixture and wrap with the corn leaves.
5. Steam it for like half hour, then it’s ready to serve.
There is no need to add in any sugar, and you can taste the natural sweetness of the corn that has blend in well with the glutinous rice, with the fragrant of the corn leaves.
The feeling isn’t easy, although I have thought of quiting much earlier in Feb, but I’m still dragging on since to Kaith has not wean off her mid night feed.
But I have decided to put a full stop today and I took the Bromocriptine pill given by doctor to stop my breast milk production. I need to take 2 pills each day for 5 days and the milk would then slowly stopped, well it’s the same as how I stop breastfeeding Dillon last time.
I only managed to breastfeed Dillon for 8 months and now Kaith for 9 months, it’s not very long but I’m proud that I’ve at least keep it up for more than half a year. My breastfeeding journey has been pleasant and I’ve enjoyed it very much, I’ll never forget the precious intimate moment I had with my 2 lil’ ones….
When I reached home after work today around 7.30pm, the maid told me that my mother-in-law has brought Dillon out since 5pm and will only be back at night.
Normally when I come home, Dillon will fetch me at the entrance and help to take my bag, then he will bug me to take him out for a walk. Suddenly I felt so not used to it that he is not around at this hour. Gosh, I kind of miss him but I mever thougt he would miss me when he is having fun time out there.
Just after I took my shower around 8pm, I heard someone walking up the stairs and then my door was opened – it was Dillon, he came in calling mummy mummy & hug me as well. My mother-in-law told me that she didn’t want to come back yet but it was Dillon who made noise and said wanted to find mummy.
My heart felt so warm & sweet, apparently he does miss me when I’m not around.
