Most Loving Sibling photo contest

When I got to know about this “Most Loving Sibling” photo contest on MOBS from Sha, I know I won’t want to miss it.

There isn’t many photo of Dillon and Kaith posing together, simply because they are just not cooperative most of the time, a tough challenge for the photographer – Mr. Yiau to capture the moment.

After much searching and considering, I picked this picture, which was taken just last weekend in the park, nice or not? I love this picture because both were having fun time at the park and they look so alike.

Dillon is will be turning 4 this coming December and Kaith had just celebrated 2nd birthday last month. They had a close age gap of merely 19 months and maybe that’s why they are so close to each other.

Although Dillon likes to fight for toys with Kaith at times, but generally, I think he is a very loving and caring brother at his age. When Kaith is crying, Dillon will try to comfort her and Kaith will take water for Dillon and help to pick up his clothes to laundry basket after bathing, and they never forget to share their snacks and food. Kaith just loves to stick around with Dillon, and imitates every little thing he does and says. Seeing the interaction (and argument…..) between these 2 sibling is one of the joyous moment I enjoyed being a mother.

Swing sets

My colleague’s son is turning one this coming weekend and will throw a party on Sunday. Unfortunately I will be away and can’t attend, but I’m still planning to buy him a gift, of course. I spotted a very nice swing sets in Toy City in Mid Valley yesterday and I think I’m going to get another colleagues to share the gift with me.

Wireless alarms

The security in this country is getting worrying nowadays, I have heard many break in cases and robbery in my neighboring area, which makes me even more worried. Therefore, I’m now thinking of installing the wireless alarms in my house. Since my sister also plans to install one in her new house, we are hoping to get a better quote from the supplier.

Weight loss pills

My cousin always had weight problem since young, because she can’t control her diet and she doesn’t exercise. It becomes worst after she had kids and now she started getting worried. She came to ask me if I can recommend any weight loss pill that works, but I can’t. I told her that the best is to get doctor’s prescription because each individual reacts differently to those diet pills

Best diet pills

It seems like many friends around me are very concern about their weight, they are constantly complaining about their weight and figure, and also never stop looking around for the best diet pills. But I think even with the help of diet pills, one should also watch out on their diet and keep up to regular exercise to maintain the weight.

Fat burners

I had a gathering with my ex-class mate last weekend and I must say that they have changed a lot, especially the girls. A few of them actually gained weight after giving birth and having problem to shed off those extra pounds. So we were talking on the different weigh loss method and discuss on what could be the best fat burner in the market. Of course we also chat about our children and after dinner, we went for a movie in GSC. It was indeed a nice gathering.

Satellite radios

My good friend who worked in US is going to celebrate his birthday next month and he is going to get himself a new car as present. Since he likes to listen to radio, I’m planning to go to an online shop in US and buy him one of those satellite radios, where he can then fix it in his new car.

Insurance plan

I’m planning to buy insurance for my kids and I want a comprehensive plan which covers for their medical, and also has a savings portion for their education fund. I do not know which insurance company I want to go with, but I have already called a few agents to prepare the free insurance quotes for me to have a look before I decide. I might start on something small as I do not want too much burden now.

I want to make bento too

When Dillon is at school, he used to eat by himself and he can finish quite fast. But when he is at home, he is so lazy to eat on his own and would always demand us to feed him.

Even then, he will take his own sweet time keeping the food inside his mouth without chewing and swallowing it, until you remind him, or scold him. So normally he will take more than half hour to finish his food, with a lot of screaming and scolding from either myself or my mother-in-law, it doesn’t matter if he is watching TV or not, situation is the same.

I’m not sure if this is a phase he needs to go through, or he is just simply not interested in his daily food (I swear that we have made our effort to serve different food every day at different meal time).

Although he still finish his food eventually, but I’m just hoping to improve the situation, I don’t want myself or my mother-in-law to be scolding him every meal time, it’s kind of frustrating for us and Dillon as well.

I’m thinking to start doing those cute bento, like what many other creative mommies have been doing for a long while, this could be a way to attract Dillon to eat his food by himself, I’m not sure if it’ll work but I just have to try and see.

The thing is that, I’m not very good in making these bento. I know from which mommies’ blogs I can find some ideas and recipes, but I just think it’s gonna be a challenge to my not so artistic and hands. How I wish that one day, I could do something like below:

cute bento set

Pikachu-bento (my inspiration)

But well, These seem too advanced for me right now, I’d better get some tools and start making some basic bento first. I hope I can have some decent bento pictures to share with you very soon……. (if you don’t see any follow up post after this, you know what it means.. *sob sob*)

Any mommy has any idea or advise , please share with me too. :)

Bravo to all breastfeeding moms

I have attended a meaningful event last Saturday, organized by Anggugu – a chinese breastfeeding forum. I’m one of the member and Mr. Yiau was also helping out on photography on that day.

There are booths like Fabulous Mom, The Baby Bliss, Bibi Palace, MumnBaby, Uniq Fullmoon and many more selling kids & mommy’s stuff.

The most meaningful moment was during the “Group Breastfeeding for 1 Minute” event, in conjunction with World Breastfeeding Week. There are so many great mommies who keep up to breastfeed their kids even up till 2 – 3 years old and they are not shy or afraid to breastfeed even in the public, the determination and courage are really touching….. How I wish I coul be part of this but too bad have stopped breastfeeding for too long.

Thanks to Anggugu’s team who have work hard together to make this event a success, there are still a lot of things to improve on but I’m sure they can do a lot better next year. Having said that, I’m already looking forward to next year’s event .

Air filters

The air quality nowadays is getting worse, furthermore with the haze hazards we had here, I believe air filters is going to become a necessity to every family, especially those with kids and elderly. I’m yet to get one for my family, there are many different brands out there and I need to survey on the quality and price before I decide on which one to buy.

Diet solution

If we could keep up to exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet, there is no reason that we would have weight problem. But it is always easier said than done, so we can still see many people are having problem controlling their weight, and some will go for slimming course, some will opt for diet pills such as lipofuze and many other brands. It is best is to consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking any diet pills.
