2009 is coming to an end pretty soon, and in the past one year, I have spent much lesser time on my blog so I might have let some of you down as you didn’t see fresh post on my blog as frequent as it used to be (was busy on this blog and this blog too). I have not been constantly reading many of your blogs as well but I hope we could still stay in touch.
I hereby wishing all my friends and blog visitors a happy holiday season and all the best for the coming year.

We are not too old to forget all these, it’s still in our mind, in our heart. It’s just that there are too many variables in life and seductions, lust and greed is everywhere so we just feel lost sometimes. Or maybe we are just too lazy and taking granted that we do not have do all these after married.
It is easy to tie the knot, it is also easy to get divorced, the toughest part is to maintain a contented and lasting marriage and it needs both husband and wife to put in the effort together.
Go home and do these tonight, if you are not doing it already:
-say “I love you”, “thank you dear”
-give a goodnight kiss and hug your spouse
It’s Friday already, have a happy weekend!!
I used to give Enfagrow A+ to Dillon but after a while he didn’t like it, so I have to switch to Dugro 1+ and then Kaith also followed the brother and consume the same brand after she turned 1.
I have never been paying attention to Meadjohnson formula milk since then, until I was invited to the launch of the new Enfagrow A+ & Enfakid A+ at Boulevard Hotel, Mid Valley.

The launch was held by the poolside. Upon arrival, I was given a brief introduction on what are the important nutrients & vitamins for children growth and one of it is obviously DHA that plays significant role in brain development. The new Enfagrow A+ & Enfakid A+ now is not only formulated with more than 4 x DHA, but also enhanced with Triple Protection Guard.

As a mother, I concern my children’s health the most, I want them to be healthy, strong and happy. The Triple Protection Guard is a blend of nutrients that helps to support children’s immune system to fight against illness, and improve on respiratory and digestive system as well.

The launch has invited a group of young synchronized swimmers to perform and brings out the message that says, strong and healthy kids learn more and perform better, which I’m totally agreed with.
I was also given a 650g pack of Enfagrow A+ to try, and since Dillon has already weaned off, I’m going to give it to Kaith. Price i always one of my concern but if this proves to be better for Kaith and she likes it, I would not mind to switch to Enfagrow A+.
Aside from the launch, we-the bloggers also had the chance to attend a sharing session with Ms. Jennifer Hor, the famous parenting educator who provide advices on positive parenting and family health. We shared our experiences in parenting from children’s diet and nutrients to disciplinary and what we concern on our children’s safety. Jennifer gave us many useful tips and advices, which makes this session a really valuable experience.
I love attending this kind of activities because I like to know about new products in the market and I love meeting new friends. Sharing and exchanging parenting thoughts and ideas with these wonderful people help me to become a better parent.

I like going to hypermarket with my kids for grocery shopping because they provide shopping trolleys and I don’t have to bring stollers along, it’s so convenient!
I’m sure you have seen these scenes before, or maybe you were also doing it? *wink wink*
See this mommy, so smart & creative LOL:

On contrary, this dad is not smart at all, please do not copycat!

I’m not sure how much you believe in horoscope or zodiac, but when I was younger, I like to read those weekly or monthly forecast on newspaper and magazines (trying to see who is my best partner etc etc…hahah LOL), of course I don’t need to read about that now.
The below 2 sites offer interesting information on compatibility between parents and child, no harm reading it but don’t take it too serious ya!

Have fun reading it, and tell me if you think it is accurate ok? hehehe :)
This is already week 3 Dillon at school, and according to his class teacher, he is doing well and he enjoys school life very much. He can even sing me 2 Chinese New Year songs and it really made my day, I will find a chance to record it.
Tomorrow I will have to go to the market and buy the food stuff for Sunday, and yes I will be cooking the reunion dinner for the family, big task…!! If I have spare time, I would also like to go and do my hair and perhaps pedicure as well.
I will be off until 2nd Feb and might not be online to update the blog. So I’d like to wish all my blog visitors a very Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year, have a wonderful holiday with your beloved ones.
Gong Xi Fa Cai !!
Being full time working parents, we really do not have the privilege to spend a lot of time with our 2 kids, Dillon and Kaith. During work days, my husband and I normally reach home after 7pm (yes we car pool!), and after dinner and shower, it’ll be almost 8.30pm if not earlier, that only leaves us about 1 – 1.5 hours time to spend with the kids before their bedtime, which is not sufficient.
The lucky thing is that my husband and I both work on 5-days week, so weekend is always our designated family day. It is very important because most of the time while we are at work, we leave our kids with the maid and therefore family day is a precious opportunity bonding with the kids and spend some exclusive time with them, and it actually brings us closer to each other.
What we normally do is to bring them to outdoor activities, not so much to the shopping malls but more often to the swimming pool, park and playground. All 4 of us go into the children’s pool together, splashing water having fun, we play swing and seesaw together, we run around freely in the park chasing each other, cycling or flying a kite, no matter what we do, we always treasure this great family moment. We also love to attend gathering and parties whenever possible, I think it gives a very good exposure to Dillon and Kaith as they mix around and interact with other kids. Seeing their happy faces and how much they laughed and enjoyed the family day with us, is truly something priceless………..
I have never participated in any Nuffnang bloggers gathering before and this time, the Nuffnang Friso Family Day Out really catches my attention. This would be a great gathering to meet all the parent bloggers nationwide and also to meet their little ones in person. It’s also a great family bonding event which I’d really love to participate along with my husband and kids. Furthermore there will be talks on nutrition and parenting experiences, which is definitely useful to all parents and the magic show is going to entertain the kids a great deal, I’m sure Dillon and Kaith will be fascinated.
This fun filled event is even more exciting because it comes with a lot of fantastic prizes to be won, including 10x RM100 MPH vouchers and a 32’’Sony LCD TV and the Grand prize is a dream family vacation for 2 adults and 2 children to Disneyland Hong Kong fully sponsored by Friso!! Wow this sounds too good to be true, I have always dreaming of going to Disneyland and this trip for is just perfect for me (2 adults = me + hubby, 2 children = Dillon + Kaith), it will definitely be an unforgettable experience for us and the kids because it will be our first family vacation to overseas. We will take a lot of great pictures, and we will buy a lot of souvenirs………oops, I have started dreaming of this family vacation already and I can almost visualize that Mickey is welcoming us there right now……
I have signed up with Your Voice panel since a year ago and I have also recommended my sister and some friends to join as well. My sister and I have completed some surveys in the past year and so far we have redeemed for 2 sets of RM40 Jusco vouchers and about 4 pairs TGV movie vouchers, although is not big rewards but this is not a scam!! And all you need to do is just spend about 10-15 mins in front of the PC to complete the survey.
As and when there are surveys available for you, you’ll be notified by email and you may choose not to participate if you are interested or not free at that point in time, there’s no obligation. Each survey is allocated with points and once you accumulated enough points, you could redeem for the rewards, it may be merchandise or cash voucher, or you may choose to contribute it towards charity organization.
If you are interested to join the panel, leave a comment and I will send you an invitation.
Before this year’s Chinese New Year, hubby has decided to upgrade to a DSLR camera after we’ve been using our Canon Ixus 40 dgital camera since 2004. After much research, he has bought the Sony A200 DSLR which cost him about RM1800 at that time.
Although I do not know much about camera and photography, but after seeing all the quality of the photos that hubby captured with this DSLR, I know for sure that this is an “investment” that we will never regret.
Hubby has since developed a great interest in photography and has been practising a lot, well mostly with Dillon & Kaith being his favourite model (not Mummy because I don’t layan him,
) he is now doing this on freelance basis to actually start earning some pocket money to “subsidize” his hobby (i.e. buying new lenses, flash & other accessories).
His portfolio is available for viewing on my Gallery
I’m really sad to see Dillon & Kaith always bitten by the mosquitoes, sometimes it got so red & swollen and when they scratch it, it’s even worst as it would leave”5 cents” mark on the skin.
Recently, I started looking around for preventive method actively, I’d like to get a product that could effectively protects Dillon & Kaith from mosquitoes and then I came across Bugslock, a product made in Korea.
“Bugslock is a mosquito controlling product to repel the mosquitos with a 100% natural aroma. It is a creative and band shaped product, which prevents mosquitos from approaching by wearing it on the wrist or ankle, where the item emits an aroma that the insect can’t stand.
As it is small in design and easy to carry, it is usable at anytime. Plus, it is a safe product, which can be used even by infants, in other words, all age groups can use it because it is made of non-toxic substances.
Ideal for climbing, fishing, camping, hunting, go on picnic, have a garden party, play outdoor activities (golf, baseball, soccer), or farmers, BugsLock protects you from mosquitoes. Just hang on the baby stroller or wear it on a child’s ankle/wrist. It’ll protect your kids from mosquitoes.”
Anybody heard of this product and mind to share if it’s effective?
The product sounds quite convincing and it looks trendy too, comes in 5 different colours and could be worn as accesssory.
After checking with a blogger friend of mine who stays in Korea, she said that the product works quite well for her kids. After seeing the facts & figures on the Bugslock official website, I’m quite convinced too.
Since the product is not so expensive and I’ll be going to Seoul in next 2 weeks, I’ve decided to give it a try and maybe will also bring back some to sell in my online store, it’ll cost around RM12 – 13 per piece after conversion. Anybody interested to try too?? Find out more on http://store.karenyiau.com
