I was thrilled when I got a call from agency that Dillon is selected for a TV Commercial job last week, this is his 1st job actually.

Dillon scratched his nose the day before, hence needs some concealer to cover the scar…….
It’s a Chinese New Year TVC sponsored by Sports Toto, and the storyline is about 3 generations in a family, so Dillon’s role is one of the grandsons.

Dillon and Darren (his cousin brother in the TVC)

Dillon and his “parents” in the TVC

Darren & Dillon with his sister Andrea & grandma in the TVC
We have to gather at the venue by 6-6.30am and so I have to wake him up at 5am and start the journey early. It was great that Dillon was not cranky at all and in fact he was very excited about the shooting.

My happpy little boy……
Although it’s his 1st experience in TVC shooting, but he did pretty well, he is very friendly and cooperative, he is not shy and easy to mix around with everybody, even the camera crew.

This was the 1st scene we shoot, and it was NG for more than 15 times, everybody jump until their legs are sore……lol
The shooting ends around 5.30pm, almost 12 hours in total duration and I felt so tired and sleepy, but Dillon was still so energetic and active, I wonder where he gets the energy from? (but soon after we get in the car, he fell into deep sleep….)
This TVC will be aired on NTV7 a week before the Chinese New Year, but you might not notice my little boy as he is so tiny and his appearance may be just few seconds on screen, hahaha…….but anyhow, this is a great experience for him, and also for mommy!
This is another backdated post, mommy has been busy with the family trip that had just happened last week (pictures of the trip shall be out soon…hopefully…)
Dillon celebrated his birthday on 6th December but we had the cake cutting a day earlier because daddy had a wedding photo shooting job on the 6th.
While waiting for everybody to be back, daddy took some pictures for gor gor and mei mei.

I really think girls are much better in posing, look at mei mei Kaith, she is very sensitive to camera and likes to pose very much.

This pose got the feel like a couple taking wedding studio picture, Dillon is so cool….. HAHA LOL

We didn’t do anything special, just a simple cake cutting session for Dillon, mei mei Kaith and thier cousin Joey was present as well.

Happy Birthday to my boy, mommy wish that you will grow up healthily and be happy everyday, love you always……
This is really backdated.
It was Dillon’s school concert day earlier this month on 1st November (Sunday), hubby and I brought Kaith along to witness our little boy perform on stage for the first time.
Dillon was in a Ben10 boy set, and from the notice I received, I’m supposed to put “heavy make-up” on him but I didn’t, firstly because I don’t like it and most importantly I myself didn’t even have any eye shadows or blusher to do the make-up, so I just let it be.
Before the concert starts, there were a few cute girls gathered at the entrance, waving hands to Dillon and calling his name. These girls are so sweet and I asked hubby to snap a picture of them with Dillon. However Dillon was very shy and that’s why his pose was so kaku and he couldnt’ smile. …LOL
Dillon was performing the “Pom Pom Dance” which was the 7th programon the itinerary. This was him during the performance, he did enjoy the dance and he was doing quite well.
But I really don’t like the heavy make-up that the teachers put on him, it makes my son looks funny loh, but every kid has to put on make-up, so that they are more photogenic and look better when in video? But if I have a choice, I still don’t like the make-up on my boy, girl I think is still fine.
After his performance, we took some more photos with his classmates. This is Ka Wai, his buddy and enemy in class, I’m saying that bcause they are the only 2 that always fight for things and argue in the class, but they also always want to stick to each other, even teacher separated them every time. What a love-and-hate relationship, hahaha LOL.
Another photo was taken with his girl classmate Khai Ling (actually only 2 girls in his class). Again, Dillon was very shy and he started biting his lips when we asked him to smile…… Poor thing, Dillon look so short when standing next to Khai Ling and I really wish that he will grow taller in the future.
Well amongst all the photos we took, my favourite is still this picture of Dillon and Kaith, they are now getting more cooperative in posing for photos.

I have been very slow in updating new post in my blog recently, it’s not that I do not have anything to blog about, but I just didn’t have the time to do so. I also missed reading many of your blogs nowadays…….
Last week was really restless for me, I have to do some makeover to The Baby Bliss website, upload some new pictures to Pixmoments and went for a photo shooting job on Sunday morning, and coincidently I also received many orders on Bengkung and Biotrim over last week so I have a lot of packing and posting to do as well, it’s basically tired, tired, tired and tired.
At the same time, early last week Kaith was having fever and coughing and then followed by myself having the same sickness, and then the virus spread on to Dillon on Friday. At time I’m writing this, Kaith is recovering form coughing while Dillon is still having fever and I’m still feeling sick, feel like I can cough my lungs out.
I really hope all of us get well soon.
This is an update post on Dillon’s sinus problem.
I finally had to bring him to ENT specialist on the 4th October because his nose block problem got more serious even after using Oxy-nase. I brought him to Pantai Cheras to see Dr. Vivian Fernandez, because this is the nearest to my place, but I was lucky that he is a very good doctor.
Doctor did a check to Dillon’s ear, nose and throat and explained that the swelling of adenoid tissue actually caused the nose block. He gave 2 types of medicine for sinus together with antibiotic and he told me to continue using Oxy-nase.
2 days after taking the medicines, Dillon has recovered almost 80% and he can sleep well throughout the night, it was such a relief to me and my mother-in-law who takes care of him.
On the 10th October, we went back for a follow up check and thank god after a week of medication the adenoid tissue has shrunk. But in order to control the sinus, Dillon will need to continue the sinus medication for the next few months/years, Oxy-nase would only required as and when necessary. Doctor explained that this is an allergy and not sickness, so long term medication is needed until the child had outgrown it. However, the medication dosage can be reduced over time…….
So that’s the situation Dillon as of now, I don’t really like the idea of long term medication. I am thinking to bring Dillon to a Chinese sinsei after he finished his medication for a month or so but in the mean time, I’ll just let him continue the medication.
Thanks for the best wishes you all left in my previous post.

I’m really restless and stressed lately, because Dillon is having nose block problem at night and I suspected that he got sinus, which is inherited from me.
I don’t know how it got started but about 2 weeks ago, Dillon was having runny nose and following that, he had nose block problem during sleep time at night. At that time, I thought it was due to his runny nose and I didn’t bother much.
Last week, his nose block got more serious, he couldn’t breathe properly when sleeping at night (he is fine during day time), and he refused to use his mouth to breathe, hence he became cranky and couldn’t sleep well continuously for a few nights. In addition, he kept telling me that there is something inside his nasal and so I brought him to see a GP.
The doctor did a scan inside his nasal and saw that the tissue was swollen inside and this is what cause him nose block. Doctor also suspected that Dillon has got sinus since I’ve got sinus problem. Doctor gave us a bottle of Oxy-Nase spray to relieve the nose block but he said this will be a slow and long process which usually takes 1-2 weeks time before the situation gets better so I have to be patient. He also advised me to look at household hygiene and dust mites issues as in the long run, those are the most important factors to sinus.
After using the nasal spray for 2 nights, Dillon got slightly better but I can still hear his heavy breathing when he is sleeping. I really hope he is just having the normal nose block and not sinus. At the same time, I’m also praying that Kaith won’t have the same problem.
I will need to do a spring cleaning for their room this weekend, and also look at strengthening their immunity to control / minimize the allergy.
Last Saturday, I was invited to attend the Enfa Kid Smart Camp held in Sunway Pyramid New Wing and I have brought Dillon along with me.
We were there around 1.30pm, and the organizer was very thoughtful to have a temperature check for all parents and kids before they enter to the Smart Camp compound.

Dillon was already excited to see a lot of fun quest and he couldn’t wait to explore each of them. Firstly we stopped over to play the computer games and see how focus he was when playing the games. No wonder he could passed the quest and got the 3 colourful bands.

Then we moved on to the next quest where there was a food conveyor belt with food items where the kids were supposed to pick their favourite food. So what have Dillon picked? There were tomato, egg, corn, potato, chicken, macaroni, lettuce and broccoli.

But according to the nutritionist, most of these food doesn’t contains DHA except for chicken and egg, but it still doesn’t meet the daily DHA requirement for a kid, so this is where milk intake can supplement the shortfall. Now I think I really need to try all methods to make Dillon to drink milk again.

Quest no. 3 is called Spell it Big! and Dillon enjoyed playing with the word puzzles, especially after he has watched the Word World series, spelling was just so much fun for him.

Following is the music quest called Beat It and Dillon got to play the “drum”. They were actually made up of pails and containers where you and I can find at home, same goes to rattle and shake where kids can make sounds and musics with things they found at surroundings.

Finally, the last quest we went through was golfing, which Dillon has been long waited for. This is a quest that requires patience, focus and accuracy from the kids and I must say that the organizer has made the mini golf course look fascinating, there were Big Ben, Twin Towers and Pyramid.

Look at Dillon and see how he played, does he look like having the potential to become a future golfer?

Last but not least, when I passed by the moms-to-be section, I was given an introduction and briefing too. After answering the quizzes, I actually got a mystery gifts which includes a pregnant mommy tee and some useful information booklet.

No No No, in case you are already suspecting, I’m not pregnant and I’m not planning in the near future also. I’m just keeping it for my cousin who is planning for a baby.
This is the first time we attended the Enfa Kid Smart Camp and overall, I think it was brilliant and nicely done. Dillon had so much fun that day and guess what, we are already looking forward to the next event and Dillon said he would want to bring his sister Kaith to attend together next time.
When I got to know about this “Most Loving Sibling” photo contest on MOBS from Sha, I know I won’t want to miss it.
There isn’t many photo of Dillon and Kaith posing together, simply because they are just not cooperative most of the time, a tough challenge for the photographer – Mr. Yiau to capture the moment.
After much searching and considering, I picked this picture, which was taken just last weekend in the park, nice or not? I love this picture because both were having fun time at the park and they look so alike.
Dillon is will be turning 4 this coming December and Kaith had just celebrated 2nd birthday last month. They had a close age gap of merely 19 months and maybe that’s why they are so close to each other.
Although Dillon likes to fight for toys with Kaith at times, but generally, I think he is a very loving and caring brother at his age. When Kaith is crying, Dillon will try to comfort her and Kaith will take water for Dillon and help to pick up his clothes to laundry basket after bathing, and they never forget to share their snacks and food. Kaith just loves to stick around with Dillon, and imitates every little thing he does and says. Seeing the interaction (and argument…..) between these 2 sibling is one of the joyous moment I enjoyed being a mother.
When Dillon is at school, he used to eat by himself and he can finish quite fast. But when he is at home, he is so lazy to eat on his own and would always demand us to feed him.
Even then, he will take his own sweet time keeping the food inside his mouth without chewing and swallowing it, until you remind him, or scold him. So normally he will take more than half hour to finish his food, with a lot of screaming and scolding from either myself or my mother-in-law, it doesn’t matter if he is watching TV or not, situation is the same.
I’m not sure if this is a phase he needs to go through, or he is just simply not interested in his daily food (I swear that we have made our effort to serve different food every day at different meal time).
Although he still finish his food eventually, but I’m just hoping to improve the situation, I don’t want myself or my mother-in-law to be scolding him every meal time, it’s kind of frustrating for us and Dillon as well.
I’m thinking to start doing those cute bento, like what many other creative mommies have been doing for a long while, this could be a way to attract Dillon to eat his food by himself, I’m not sure if it’ll work but I just have to try and see.
The thing is that, I’m not very good in making these bento. I know from which mommies’ blogs I can find some ideas and recipes, but I just think it’s gonna be a challenge to my not so artistic and hands. How I wish that one day, I could do something like below:

But well, These seem too advanced for me right now, I’d better get some tools and start making some basic bento first. I hope I can have some decent bento pictures to share with you very soon……. (if you don’t see any follow up post after this, you know what it means.. *sob sob*)
Any mommy has any idea or advise , please share with me too.
We have not been to the park with kids for quite some time, so on last weekend, we decided to bring them to park in the morning. It was not too hot and we had a great time there.

See how good they are in posing now…..

Gorgor is showing his love and hug to meimei, but meimei doesn’t really seem to enjoy it…….

Meimei just loves the bubbles…….

Here comes the siblings photos, they are just like photocopy to me esp. the last photo, not only the face look alike but also the smile & dimple…….
This is a really really backdated post on Dillon’s sports day, which was held more than 2 weeks ago on 19th April (Sun) at Stadium Badminton Cheras, this year is also the 30th Anniversary for Mayter Kindergarten. I finally got the time to upload the edited video and share with y’all, better be late than never right? hehehe.
Dillon is in Blue House, and he joined the group performance on 3 songs, namely “The Bean Bag Song” (video 1), “Jia You Song” (video 2) and lastly “Music & Movement” (video 3a & 3b).
Given only a short time to practise and reherse, I think Dillon has done pretty ok, at least he didn’t missed out a lot of steps. lol
It makes me laugh every time I look at the video clips, and I hope you enjoy viewing them too. LOL

Dillon participated in “Let’s go bang bang” run and his team finished fourth, despite that, he was very happy when he received the trophy, I guess at this stage, it’s not so important to him if he was the first, so long he get a prize.
When you have more than 1 kid, they will be fighting for toys, fighting for snacks, fighting for attention, basically fight on anything and everything. But these are not major issues to me, it’s just kids fight anyway. My biggest concern, or I shall say worries is when one of them fall sick, because when that happens, the other will most likely to get it too.
I have been in the situation in past 2 weeks. It first started with Kaith having diarrhoea, the next day it was Dillon who had diarrhoea and vomiting as well, it was bad that he didn’t go to school for 2 days. Few days after he recovered from that, he went to school for and then got home with coughing and mild fever. Took him to paed but the medicine doesn’t work, so I took him to see the Chinese sinsei and get the traditional medicine for him and he got better 2 days after. The baton passing does not end here, because following closely behind was Kaith again who got the coughing and fever, and she is also on Chinese medicine now and recovering.
I don’t think there is anyway to prevent this from happening, especially when Dillon is already going to school and he is at a higher risk of getting all sorts of virus back home and passing on to Kaith, they are also used to sleeping in the same room and I’m unable to separate them….
I know that in every school, there will sure be some kids who like to bully others. I’m not petty minded, I mean after all it’s just kids fight and it happen to us also when we were a child isn’t it?
A week before the last school term break, Dillon’s class teacher called and told me that he has minor injuries on his face and he told the teacher that he fell down. When I got home and his face, I can clearly see that they are scratches near the corner of his eyes, near his lips and the nose and I think they are caused by finger nails. So I asked Dillon who did that to him and he straight away mention a boy’s name.
At first I was doubtful because I know there is no such boy in his class and I don’t want to accuse anyone, so the next day I called and asked the teacher if there is a boy by that name in the school, true enough there is such boy but in 3 years old class. The teacher said that the boy is big and fat, and is very naughty. He always like to disturb other kids and he even dare to hit back at the teachers. They travelled in the same van and reached school at the same time, so they will be at the playground each day before the classes start. With that I can almost confirm that it was that boy who scratched Dillon and thus I told teacher to please keep an eye on the boy and perhaps should discipline him. I’m not only worried for Dillon but I also don’t want him to do the same to other kids at school.
Last Friday, again I saw a scratch on Dillon’s face at the corner of his eye, when I asked him, he said the same name again and I asked him why, he said they were fighting for the car at playground, which I believe is true since Dillon loves to play with that car.
When I spoke to the van driver this morning, I got to know that this boy actually scratched and pinched 2 other kids in the same van too. I’m unhappy that this is happening again but obviously I don’t blame the boy, it’s just that the teachers have to work with the parents and discipline the child. I have told this to the teachers and want them to do something about it immediately to prevent anything worse from happening.
