As I was telling that Kaith is still not potty-trained yet 2 months back, earlier this month, Kaith has been totally diaper-free during day time.
It was quiet easy actually, it took just a few days to complete the process. The first 2 days, we take off her diaper during day time and every hour we’ll take the potty & get her to sit on it but she will not pee in there. So then we decided to take her to the toilet and guess what, it works! I think she just doesn’t like the potty and prefer to go to toilet like her gorgor Dillon……
But the funny thing now is that, she will pee in the toilet but when it comes to pass motion, she cannot tell and we are still trying to train her on this, guess she might just need some time.
I’m glad that she has achieved another milestone and it obviously save me on the diapers too, hehe.
What has Kaith been up to lately? Well she has lost some weight due to being sick few weeks ago, but she has grew taller also.
She is still talking in her own baby language but she’s very good at copycat her gorgor thou, you’ll see her always tailing her gorgor wherever he goes and of course, follow what he does as well, monkey see , monkey do.

Likes to use 2 pencils at one time, write with both hands like the gorgor?
She is turning 2 soon but she is still not yet ready for her potty, she will only tell us “poo poo” after she has poo-ed in her diaper… *slap forehead* Anybody has any idea how to train her?
Her hair has grew longer now but she doesn’t like to tie her hair up. Mommy likes to keep her fringer short and neat like a china doll, how’s that?

So rude to put her feet on the tray of high chair….so not ladylike…aiks!!

This is a much better pose, but so “hiao”……
My hubby and I speak Mandarin & English with Dillon since young, while my maids speaks Mandarin to him; as for in-laws, they speak in Hakka dialect.
Initially I was quite worried for Dillon that he might get confused with so many different languages and I’m really unsure which language is he going to be mastering when he speaks.
But then I realised that my worries is not necessary at all. At his age of 31-32 months now, he is picking up new words at a fast pace and he can understand words & sentences in different languages.
He also likes to imitate the way we talk to him, and he would say the same back at his sister Kaith: “no no don’t touch this…”, “go away, hot hot….mummy scold”, “come down, mummy beat beat”.
It’s cute & funny to see when he acts & talks like a big brother. LOL
Last Saturday, Kaith finally took her first step and has been practising a lot since then. Every time she walks, you can see happiness all over her face and she enjoys walking very much, well I guess not long from now, she’ll be running around like Dillon…..
Not forgetting to suck her favourite fingers while touching her belly button as she walks… lol

It’s been a while since I blog about my kids (mummy only busy blogging about her KK trip la, Bangkok trip la so selfish
), so after the previous post about Kaith, now I should write something about Dillon too.
He is going to be 2.5 years old in 2 weeks time, getting more and more active & mischievous too. He enjoy going to the outdoor playground to play the swing, slides and basically running wild and his another favourite would be going to the pool.
He is not very good in talking yet but is learning at a steady pace. He speaks Mandarin most of the time (coz my maid speaks that) but he understands when I speak English to him too. He is also speaking a bit of Hakka dialect since my in laws speak the language to him.
Is he getting along well with meimei? It’s pretty well I’d say, he always show his care & love to Kaith where he will hug & kiss her forehead, pick up toys for her and play with her, wipe her face when she sweats, and when we bring him out, he will “ask” meimei to come along too……. so I think he is doing a good job as gorgor.
She started crawling since last month but she doesn’t crawl that much, instead she likes to stand. Whenever she gets to hold on to something as support, she’d pull herself up to standing position steadily and she enjoys it so much that she’d start giggling. I remembered that Dillon was the same, he only crawled for a short while and then he learned to stand around 8 months plus and not long after that, he took his 1st step at 10 months and before he turned 1, he was running around already.
Well, I can’t imagine how it would b having two lil’ ones running around in the house…. haha.
Right after Dillon wean off his pacifier, I have decided to potty train him. Dillon has always been able to tell us when he needs to poo poo so that is not an issue. Our mission now is to train him to pee in his potty during day time, as for night time, we’d still wear him diaper.
Day 1 – Day 3
For a start, my maid would bring him to the potty every one hour, sometimes he would pee in it but sometimes he just refuse. Hence on the first 3 days, he wet about 4 – 5pants a day on average.
Day 4 – Day 5
Dillon became more aware of the mission and he has understand that he needs to tell us when he wants to pee (he will say “shee shee”), but it’s just that sometimes when he tells, it’s too late and he has pee on his pants already.
Day 6 – Day 7
Over last weekend, it is remarkable that Dillon only wet his pants once, every time he needs to pee he will tell and then will go to take his potty to us.
Well, I guess I can safely say that Dillon has been potty trained and again, I have accomplished another mission. Bravo Dillon and to myself too, hehe
I am very glad that Dillon has achieve this before turning 2 next week, and what’s my next mission? Maybe is to train him to brush his teeth I guess.
I should have done this a while back but I kept delaying it, then on last Tuesday, i.e the 13th Nov, the thought crossed my mind again and I’ve decided to execute my plan to let Dillon wean off his pacifier.
Day 1 – 13th Nov
After listening to my friend, I put a littl bit of ??? (watermelon frost spray, an edible medicine for ulcer/sore throat) on his pacifier and when he saw it, he said it’s dirty and asked me to wash it; I pretended to wash & give him back, he licked it & still complain it’s dirty, then I told him yes it’s dirty, why not throw it into dustbin? To my surprise he nodded and he threw the pacifier into the dustbin himself and walked back to his bed. (Hahahaha LOL, it’s easier than I thought). Maid said he fell asleep quite late that night & he did wake up in the middle of night crying for his pacifier but she managed to comfort him & pat him back to sleep.
Day 2 – 14th Nov
Maid said he didn’t want to nap & was throwing tantrum (he used to nap on his own when given pacifier). Finally at around 4pm, he was too tired and my maid cradle him to sleep. At night, he asked for the pacifier and I reminded him that he has thrown it into the dustbin himself, then he remained quiet.
The same thing happen as the 1st night as we have expected.
Day 3 – 15th Nov
Instead of 2 naps that he used to have, he only took one nap in the late afternoon about 4pm, but he was no longer crying searching for his pacifier. The best thing of the day was, he slept through the night.
Day 4 – 16th Nov
He didn’t ask for the pacifier at all and slept through the night as well.
Day 5 – 17th Nov
Same as Day 4, and I can now safely say that Dillon had successfully wean off his pacifier, hooray!! My Binky-free mission has finally accomplished.
Dearest my son, you have made it, mummy is so proud of you!
Kaith doesn’t like to lie down but she likes to be held in standing or sitting positions. Thus I have tried putting her in the walker last week and found that she just love it! She was so happy and whenever we press the honk, she would just laugh out loud, hahaha LOL.
Announcement!!
Baby Kaith is 4 months old already.
She is now taking 5oz of milk every 4 hours and weigh a healthy 6.5kg. Her face is round & chubby, still doesn’t have double eyelid like her brother but she is getting fairer now.
She can roll over already and she has a pair of strong legs, she likes it so much when we hold her at standing position. She is also very chatty (girl’s nature I believe?) and she smiles & laugh a lot, especially Dillon plays with her.
Updates on Mummy? Still breastfeeding and trying hard to fit into her old pair of jeans…. haha
So here is a bit of her latest updates:
1. Has put on another 0.6kg since last month, weighs a healthy 6.1kg now, body length 60cm.
2. Still on breast milk exclusively, taking 4.5oz (no “improvement” on this though) every 3 hours.
3. Has been attempting to roll over but not successful as yet.
4. Hate to be alone. Will cry out loud whenever no one is within her sight. ![]()
5. Loves to smile & laughing out loud (just like me!!) LOL
