After a week of Chinese New Year break, I’m officially had flew to Bangkok for my new job training on 21st Feb. Yes, after almost 7 years working with the company, I’ve decided to leave for a better offer and better prospects.
The training was 5 days initially, but then we were requested to stay for another for more practical training, which would be good for us when we do our job next time, so I’m only flying back on next Friday now. That’s the reason why I have not been able to update this blog for so long…..
Of course it is fun that besides training, I do enjoy shopping, eating and massage in Bangkok, but I really miss Dillon and Kaith a lot, and of course my hubby as well. However for work purpose, I had no choice but to be away from them for 2 weeks, which is by far the longest duration I have to be apart with them, miss them so much…..
Workload has been crazy since the beginning of this year & it’s almost up to my ear already, which is also why I barely have time to write for my blogs. In the whole month of January, I only managed to hit 8 posts. Same goes with my increment & bonus this year, also pathetically low but it’s again that old saying – better than nothing
Although work is busy but I’m still breastfeeding, maybe I’ll stop after the Chinese New Year. I’ve also had my hair cut shorter and most people think it looks good on me
Another good thing is, I’ve lost another kg this month and I’m finally back to my pre-pregnancy!! (god knows if I could maintain this when Chinese New Year is coming along with so many junks to eat
)
A lot of people in my office has gone on leave during the last 2 weeks of the year but I’m not one of them as I don’t have any plans. So I’ve decided to carry forward my entitlement to next year which means I’ll have a total of 23.5 days then, YAY!
Actually I don’t mind to come to work during these 2 weeks, simply because:
1. The traffic to & fro office is so smooth.
2. The eateries are not so packed during lunch hour.
3. Office is so peaceful & quite since half of the people are gone.
4. Last but not least, bosses are not around, hehehe.
After the long maternity break, I’m officially returning to work today.
There are already over a thousand emails in my inbox and I’ve been checking through them the whole morning, until now I still left 300 emails to go through and I guess that would fill my 2nd half of the day.
Nothing much changed while I was away, except that a TV has just been installed near my place, where it’ll be switched on all time to show sports events (as our company is involved in sports business), my colleagues are so jealous of my nice seat, hahaha LOL.
Next Monday (3rd Sept) I’ll be returning to work, so fast the 60 days of maternity leave is finishing soon….. and Kaith is turning 2 months old too
Now that I have 2 kids, I can foresee that my life will be much more occupied & tiring when I return to work and I hope I am able to cope with it. No matter how, I will continue to breastfeed Kaith for at least another 6 months.
